Portrait Sessions

Jordan in the Loft

Over the past few months I’ve been shooting a ton.  I’ve been doing more and more model work as the wedding season begins to wind down.  Shooting sessions with models has really forced me to focus on light and composition, more than I could with weddings. With a wedding, I have almost no control over the day and, for the most part, am there to be an unobtrusive observer, capturing the day as it unfolds.  Shooting models allows me to control almost every aspect of the shoot and really helps me refine my craft.

Shooting models requires…models. I’m fortunate to be able to work with so many aspiring models. It allows them to build their portfolios and enables me to really focus on my craft and develop a more robust set of skills. This particular shoot was with Jordan. Jordan was awesome to work with and she absolutely killed it. I work at a super fast pace and blast through poses and outfits at an insane pace. Jordan never batted an eye and really owned the shoot. The photos below are the final result of our session. Check them out and let me know your thoughts.
